UAE Gratuity Calculator 2026
Under UAE Labour Law, every employee who completes at least one year of service is entitled to end-of-service gratuity. This calculator shows you exactly what you're owed based on your salary, years of service, and reason for leaving. No hidden deductions — what you see is what you'll receive, tax-free.
How UAE Gratuity Works
- Unlimited contracts: 21 days of basic salary per year for the first 5 years, then 30 days per year after that.
- Limited contracts: Same calculation as unlimited contracts.
- Minimum service: You must complete 1 or more years to qualify.
- Based on basic salary only: Gratuity is calculated on your basic salary, not housing allowance, transportation, bonuses, or other benefits.
- Maximum cap: Your total gratuity cannot exceed 2 years of basic salary.
- Early resignation (before 5 years): Reduced entitlement — 1/3 after 1-3 years, 2/3 after 3-5 years, full after 5 years.
- Employer termination: Full gratuity entitlement after 1 year of service.
